Is Your Couch Toxic?
Well "Safer Chemicals", it's kind of funny that you asked? I started this Green Blog, so I could help get the word out about the "facts" surrounding the lack of specific regulations written within the Toxic Chemical's Substance Act and the fact that many chemically-manufactured products being used by Consumers today have not been tested for Our Health & Safety due to exposure to the chemicals used in making the product. I just happened to make the statement "you don't even know what is in the couch in your living room" and two weeks later, a study was publicized indicating 85% of the couches tested contained toxic flame retardant chemicals.
I have a feeling as we move forward in life there will be many more studies revealed about the toxic chemicals used in products we use on a daily basis...I mean over 84,000 chemicals and 35 years of manufactured products is bound to be reveal more than one negative result with regard to our exposure to the magnitude of products manufactured in that many years!
Until then, let's continue living and enjoy every day....because you really don't know when it is going to be your last!
